UEFA Euro 2008 (PS3)

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

With EURO 2008 on and football fever high, EA Sports’ latest installment for the PS3 comes in the form of UEFA Euro 2008. This time EA have done the right thing and concentrated on the gameplay more than anything else. Its been tuned to give you more control than you ever had in the FIFA series. The Be-A-Pro mode seen in Madden was introduced in FIFA, but you could play only one game in that mode. That’s been changed with the all new Captain Your Country mode which allows you to create your own player, raise his level enough to get make it to your chosen team, and play the whole tourney with him.
The players move faster than FIFA 08, making the game more dynamic, and an added attraction is the ‘Celebrate your Goal’ feature which finally lets you celebrate the way you want to! The FIFA 08.5 as it is being called by some has its flaws, but it looks good and feels good. Overall, a worthy successor to FIFA 08 and definitely worth a shot.

NINTENDO Wii

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Wii is the fifth production of the home video console game launched by Nintendo. It claims that the console will have a wider demographic as compared to that of Xbox 360 by Microsoft and PlayStation-3 by Sony. A feature of the console that distinguishes it from the rest is the wireless controller. Its remote can be used as a pointing device and also to detect movements in the three dimensions. The WiiConnect24 can both receive messages as well as updates from the Internet even in the Standby mode.

It was reported by Financial Times in September 2007 that Wii has emerged as its generation’s sales leader. Recently Nintendo joined hands with the Six Flags for the Wii console promotion and with the starting of this summer more people are expected to get their hands on the Wii. An attracting package is the Ferrari Challenge, namely Trofeo Pirelli, ready to be unleashed by the Activision Set and System 3 for Wii. “

There is nothing like some old fashion arcade games playing…. He walked through the fire, dodging ballistic missiles and deflecting anti-mechanized shells by his forehead. He bit through the barbed wire, swam across the napalm rivers and got over the streets only on the red signals of traffic lights. And even the Death was afraid of him…
