This time EA have done the right thing and concentrated on the gameplay more than anything else. Its been tuned to give you more control than you ever had in the FIFA series. The Be-A-Pro mode seen in Madden was introduced in FIFA, but you could play only one game in that mode. That’s been changed with the all new Captain Your Country mode which allows you to create your own player, raise his level enough to get make it to your chosen team, and play the whole tourney with him.
The players move faster than FIFA 08, making the game more dynamic, and an added attraction is the ‘Celebrate your Goal’ feature which finally lets you celebrate the way you want to! The FIFA 08.5 as it is being called by some has its flaws, but it looks good and feels good. Overall, a worthy successor to FIFA 08 and definitely worth a shot.

The Northwest Games Festival 2007 will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia on Saturday, May 5 at the downtown Sheraton Wall Centre following the Vancouver International Game Summit from May 3-4, 2007. NWGF:07 will ask for a $10 registration fee to support venue costs.
